Looking for some feedback on this. I just bought a CJ8, 258, Howell TB Fuel injection and it runs fine for about the first 20 minutes starting from being cold. There is a slight, occasional, miss but that's about it.

Then, after about 20 minutes, it starts to miss pretty bad giving you that sinking feeling that you're not going to get home and the miss is most pronounced under load (taking off from 1st).

Can anyone give me feedback on this, what might be happening?

closed or open loop? I recommend installing the closed loop kit (02 sensor)

I believe it's closed loop (if closed loop means having an O2 sensor).

I remember seeing an O2 sensor on the exaust manifold.


Would an open loop cause behaviour like this?

I know this is obvious, but check for a mouses nest in the air cleaner, seriously. That will clog all your jets and even intake manifold. I had a accelerator pump ruined by it. Stupid mice

plug wires?
