I Purchased an 1977 fj40 that has been stretched 5 inches, but the question that i have is the guy whom I got the fj from did spring over and was running 35's but I would like to get a little more lift to run 38's. right now it has factory springs but I am just looking for some advice on some combinations that I could to with springs? Thanks all

Post some pics. SOA should fit 38's easily. You may need to trim a little though:D
I ran 35's SUA.

Buy a star to post pictures.
The 35"s are about the limit with the stock power train. If you go bigger and wheel it you can guarantee breakage. You should upgrade to Longfield axles, get some power steering upgrades as well.
