Anyone knows the main difference between a T-shifter and J-shifter D20s?

Are the components interchangeable?

How can you tell a T from a J if the shifter is missing? By serial number?

Any website that discusses the 2 different transfer cases?

Thanks.

I don't have pictures to post but the T-shift uses an equalising bar that connects the two shift rails together and the J-shift has.....well......hmmmm. oh, crap. I just can't put into words to discribe the shift rails on a J-shifter. They suck anyway:flipoff2:

I had to pull my t-case to get this pic..... you owe me.

The t-shift has a slightly lower low range. Both are good cases. Both can be twin sticked for 2 low or front wheel drive!

Great pics, but still confuses me if they are sitting on the ground. Can you please put them back on the trucks and take pics again? They ought to be in a more familiar location.

Before you do that, spill out all the gears on the ground so we can make a side by side comparison.

Anyway, now I know that mine is a T-shifter from your pics. Thanks to everyone.
