I have parted some Dodge diesel trucks in the past and am currently on my 3rd(89,90,and the current 92 model) and they have had this speedo adapter on the case.

The Dodge 205's use the same gear(different color though)as the Chevy's and are the same size.

and the Dodge speedo assembly fit's the speedo drive on the Chevy 205.

Why couldnt this be used instead of the very hard to find VSS output for the Chevy 205.I know that some have been turnin down 241 gears and usin them but if this would work it could be done with parts store items and no machine work.

So for some of you tech savvy guy's would/could it work???

they make after market vss you can get from summit/jeg.

the speedo rings should be different teeth count too, not just color.

Whats the VSS output signal number?

It all depends on the signal it generates and if you can tune a GM pcm to match.

It doesn't match as a signal, I tried it along time ago. The dodge uses a square wave as well IIRC.

But, if you are running an aftermarker electronic speedo, then it would work for it.
