searching for a little more flex out back though there is already a considerable amount there. anways.......was thinking longer springs. are 1ton springs longer than 1/2 and 3/4? I thought at some point I saw that they were but I'm not sure.......if only I was closer to my dad's house I could just go out into the junkyard and meassure. I'm also thinking that since I did my shackle flip incorrectly (the shackle sits perfectly verticle) that it might correct my shackle angle and give me a little more down travel and ride a little smoother all with one easy swap. if I could find say a 55 or 56 inch spring that would work it would be perfect, I could fabricate a new shackle so that's of no concern to me. any info is a great help, and thanks in advance.

Stock 3/4 and 1 ton springs are 56" eye to eye. Some of the 1/2 ton springs are the 52" eye to eye.

How many springs are in the pack? I am going to try the 57's I just got and see how they hold up. There is a guy on Ck5 whose rig looks like it flexes really well and is running a shackle reversal and the 57's on his Blazer. I plan on it being done this weekend, will let you know how it comes out.

If you get the 57s, you will want to look for 2.5" wide with 4 leafs and an overload. Do not get the 3" version, be carefull. Also, the pin is roughly 1" closer to the front eye on the 57" F150 springs as opposed to the 56 or 52" GMs. So, you will need to redrill or use offset plates to move the axle location to the correct location. ORD has offset "zero-rates" that can do this, or you can do like I did and make your own. I don't like redrilling the packs...

BTW, all of this is available through the search button...

I think the catch phrase 'zero rates' is hilarious for a set of blocks.
