any one done this
how much do you need to bore it out?
i think it might weaken it to much for
a FF rear set up

30 spline will fit fine. You can get 30 spline through a Dana 30 spindle.

The spline section will fit, but any shaft which tapers to a larger OD will not.

It fits once you pull the needle bearing out. You may want to bore it out a little anyway so it still clears if the housing bends a little.

Maybe I don't understand the question. We are talking about making a FF 44 right? I built one that was 30 spline with 30 spindles and it worked great but what Gordon said is very true. If the housing flexes enough to get the axle to rub on the spindle that is a bad thing.

i checked tday and i can stick the splined part of the shaft in the back until it necks up
but i cant stick it in the front were the spindle nut goes

this is on a 3/4 ton spindle i wouldent think that there differnt though

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken you can get warn FF kits that have thirty spline axles. I would assume that you could call warn and find out what spindles they are using for these kits. I was thinking that they used a Dana 60 spindle of some sort, since thirty spline axles on a 60 and 44 are the same diameter. (????)

Why do you want 30 spline stubs <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">
