Allpro is making chromoly inner axles for Toyota trucks, if there's
enough interest, they can make 'em for Cruisers. Who wants a set?

When I talked to Bobby long he did not think that they would be much stronger than the stock axles. They are supposedly going to give bobby a set to see if they are able to break the longfields. When that happens he can tell you the amount of stress required to break one. If it is not that much greater than stock I see no reason to upgrade.
ALthough the price is not bad at all..

I might be talking out my ass here, but I think the inner is not too bad of a weak point. It's no more of a PITA to change than a birf, and you can still drive off the trail (or at least to a good spot) without changing it. They also seem cheaper than birfs and and lockers.

Just my opinion, let me know if it's full of flaws ;)

Not a bad thought at all. Would you rather replace a ring gear? Personally I am with Nolen that you build it not to break but if you know where the weak point is then...

I like being able to keep driving if something breaks...
