Is it just me or are the front wheel wells going to do some self-trimming very soon?

Love the simple wheels.:grinpimp:

wow, all the money spent on the motor and tranny, the axles swaped out, and the cheapest rock bottom rims you could find.

The wheels are fine. Weld some beadlocks on them instead of buying fancy ones.

what's not to like....their black, steel and 8 lug. Winning combination in my book.

200 bucks will get you some weld on bead locks when your ready.

yea, i know a few people running the diy4x weld on beadlocks, and they like them. might have to try them out myself.

i know one thing, im gonna need crossover steering or maybe hydro assist.

watch turning while under power. i was breaking d44 shafts with an open diff, 5:13s, 4-speed, maybe 100 flywheel hp 350 with the same size tires and stock steering in a 77swb. i thought i could keep it alive by running it open, but i was running stock shafts. i didnt start breaking stuff till i started airing down.just make sure to not turn while the front tires are spinning. the truck looks good. i wish i would have built a blazer instead of a truck.

yea, im gonna have to baby the d44. but since i got the 44 and 14 bolt with 4.10 gears for 160 dollars for the pair, i will use it till it blows. its an open dif up front, and worn out posi in the rear for now.

thanks for the comments

i just cut the entire lower horn off the fender.

dnchevyman
08-24-2008, 12:36 PM
yea i thought about that. almost did it. but i figured id only cut what was totally needed. that way i could possibly add fender flares. might end up just cuting them like you did.
