I have a set of flat top D44 knuckles for drum brake apps. I can see the spindle bolts are clocked a bit, but I'm wondering if I can use the driver's side knuckle as a trail spare? Granted, it would be a last ditch sort of thing.

Since this isn't a high failure item, I'm just thinking of leaving it in the tow rig...just in case.

Any opinions?

you can but you wont be able to put a caliper on it if you dont reclock the bolt pattern and i do to carry a spare set of flat tops just in case
