: anyone near Ft. Cambell, KY? (Hummer rims)
offroadr35 07-31-2002, 05:28 AM I just saw these on the gov't liquidation site. 129 rims and 126 mag runflats. I bet you could pick these up really cheap and make a lot of money.

wngrog 07-31-2002, 07:31 AM That is where Daniel gets all of his sheeeet.....
He is near Campbell...
So what is the deal on these auctions - can a person go view the items before they sell or what? And how soon do you have to pick them up after you win the bid?
MattS 07-31-2002, 08:24 AM Can someone who has used the auction site explain the Acquisition Cost to me?
Cause Quantity In Lot: 126
Acquisition Cost: 29,088.36 US$
First Bid: 35.00 US$
So the bid is $35 or $29,088.36?

EasyXJ 07-31-2002, 08:24 AM Looks like you can go and view by appt. and it also looks like it takes a few weeks to get approved to get them after you win the bidding war.
Easy
Daniel - you really need to work on your communication skills.. sometimes you need to say a little more to explain yourself :p

He said that the
A what our GOvt paid for it... 126
Your starting Bid... $29,088
I totally understood!! :flipoff2:
Now if I can only find one of those cool $40,000 NASA hammers for $10 I will be set!!

I might just do that - if someone would tell me how this bidding works! :p
Daniel - how are you saying this works then?
I bid on them, and win. I can't go pick them up, I have to pay for them to be shipped? Or do I pay the willing bid price, then wait for them to OK the purcahse, then I can go pick them up?
Are you saying I may win the bid, wait and get turned down, but I have to pay for shipping and the bid price too?
Clarify please...
Hey Daniel - email that pic to me, I think I may bid on these since I am close enough to pick them up pretty easy....

We'll discuss that *if* I can get them ;)
Hillbilly 07-31-2002, 01:01 PM I want in on this, I'm closer than DRM:flipoff2:
offroadr35 07-31-2002, 01:20 PM i didn't post it to be a group buy or anything. I just saw 129 hummer wheels and runflats for $70 starting bid and thought someone could make a killing. Plus I REALLY need some and don't exactly have much money :D I don't think my roomate would enjoy me bringing home 129 wheels and runflats LOL.

*IF* I get these wheels and beadlocks, I would do so to be able to keep a few sets for myself, and sell the rest to obviously cover my costs, time, and maybe make a few bucks.
Thsi is not a group buy, it is an auction where the high bidder will win.
Someone else may want them worse than I do, and may be willing to pay more $$$ than I am willing - we'll just have to see about that.
Steve - since you posted the link, *IF* I do get them, you get a set for my cost plus actual shipping, that fair enough for you ;)
offroadr35 07-31-2002, 01:42 PM SCHWEET!!! i'm rootin for ya!! if i had the space and was closer i'd definitely consider picking them up, judging from the few BBs i frequent there seems to be a huge demand for them.

Hillbilly 07-31-2002, 01:59 PM I'm just rattling DRM's chain. I don't want no part of this, but I hope you win DRM. Good Luck
