I am orginally from AZ, but due to being in the military (Navy) I have lived in CA for the past 16 years. I am planning on being out in AZ during Thanksgiving this year and would like to hit some trials at least one day. Was thinking about Flourance Junction or another place that compares. Additionally I am currently deployed in the Iraqi area and will be back in two months, so if there is anyone that can help me or join me please leave feedback.

I'd be up for that if I don't brake anything before then. I may even be able to get a few other people in when it comes time.

More than likely I will be in town this year. Gonna skip our annual Moab run this year. Try a local club too. Nice looking rig, specs?

Sounds nice. I hope it is not taboo to do this, but try www.azvirtualjeepclub.com . A lot of guys on there, and can lead to other groups too. Sounds like you are well setup for a lot of trails. Think about Table Mesa area too, about the same amount of trails as FJ, but closer together. Better wheeling I think too.

So there is just as good wheeling at Table Mesa? I have been out there, but a very long time ago ~ 16+ years! I will look at the web site to link on there and see what I can find out.

Thanksgiving is too far out to make any specific plans but there will probably be a group of us that will spend a few days at Table Mesa. Your jeep looks like it would fit in with us and if everything comes together you would be welcome. Send me a PM if you want to give it a try.

My small group wont be in town for the holiday, but try:

www.locooffroad.com
www.wheelingarizona.com
www.crawlinaz.com
www.virtualjeepclub.com if you have to

That should get you started. If anything, just roll out there in the AM and join a group thats ready to wheel. Any wheelin spot in the state should be PACKED over thanksgiving. Depending on how you feel about GETTIN IT theres one other local club that I know would be glad to have you tag along, but the message boards are closed to outside users.

I feel like an f'n dipshit but I can't seem to find any info on the famous FJ trail. I have seen mention of this a few time but can't seem to figure out what the hell it is or where. Can someone help me get my head back out from my tail section?

A few of us (actually 9 vehicles) will be there from Thur thru Sun AM. With the number of vehicles that we have it may be a bad idea to try and fit in 3 more into our group. If you are there early Sat morning we can show you the trail head for one of the more fun , but difficult, trails that we expect to be doing that morning. If interested send me a PM and we can swap phone numbers and figure out to connect either Fri night of Sat AM
