For those who have put a 302 into their YJ and are running the Z&M cradle, anyone tried the JBA headers? How did they fit? Would you do them again? If not, would you have gone with truck manifolds?

I'm getting ready to address the exhaust on my swap and am concerned on fitment of headers with the slave and firewall clearance.

Opinions about Z&M not needed here either. If you haven't done this motor swap, I don't give a shit what you have to say.

Oh yeah, I searched too...

I'd say if they fit and are going to help run your exhaust the way you want it to (2 into 1 or duals) go with the truck headers. More low end torque. Headers = high rpm horsepower. I have flowtech block hugger headers and they dump straight down right in the middle of the header on both sides. Wish I would have kept the manifolds. Also, I have home built engine mounts, so I can't say for sure about fitment issues. Hope any of this helps.

I am running headers from an 79-93 fox body mustang, but I am using AA engine mounts...

There are some pics in the build thread in my signature.

Good luck,
