Got to thinkin' they might just be the ticket for usin' long, flexy springs on the front axle on Version5.7.
Here's some I found on the net: http://www.secureperformanceorder.com/products/getproduct.cfm?CategoryID=14&ClassID=180&SubclassID=851&ProductID=985
Anybody use 'em? What ya'll think?

I don't like them. No I have never run them, but I hate all the clanky clunkey shiat just to get an inch of travel

Couple Heep guys in my club runs them..the one that wheels a lot hates them...he bends springs all the time and the other guy doesn't wheel to much likes his. Evidently you have to keep them greased religiously or they fawk up....maybe someone else will pipe in. I bend front springs enough without them...so I will probably keep the shackles.
I searched for info on those damn things last week and did not find out anything.....glad you found something....

Scott @ www.rockstomper.com was "working" on some prototype spring sliders. Different that the ones above. Maybe give 'em a call. Don't know if he ever went through with 'em though?

A guy I know with a way-built heep tried them out. He hated 'em, didn't get too much travel, and had to bring grease on the trail with him to keep them lubed up so they would even move. After ruining a set of springs, he went back to shackles.
This is just repeating his experience though. I dunno anything firsthand, never tried 'em.

Thanks.
Guess I'll just make some new shackles.

Look at the design, how is the spring suppose to twist
Besides, eight holes and ten minutes and you'll have new shackles.

Talked to a guy last night with a set...he uses TEFLON bushings and white lithiumn grease....just a little FYI on this not-so-hot suspension idea.......still says he bent springs all the time....lift springs at that  ......course he pays people to work on his HEEP....
