I found a 91 Ford F250,4wd, ext cab, 7.3 diesel, 5 spd, 8' bed, 2nd owner, 197k miles. It has some bumps and scraps. Like a dent here and there nothing major. No rust in the body. A little surface rust in
the bed, where its just been used. I called and talked to the owner she told me that she had owned it since 97. 2 owner truck. Asking $4800, and said she was negiotable. What do you think? What are some of the obvious thinks to look for? What about cavation? Can i test that with those strips I've been reading about? Anyone ever used the test strips for the coolant? Going to look at it Sunday.

From what I remember, the 7.3's w/o turbo are dogs. But the price sounds good.

would you be worried about that many miles for that price?

You may want to have the injectors looked at. They are probably the most expensive parts on the truck. Replacing them could be a couple of grand.

The coolant strips just tell you the amount of FW16 in the rad and if you need more.

Try this site www.ford-diesel.com/ (http://www.ford-diesel.com/) more info than you really want to know.
