i have search did not find my answser will a 360 out of a 87 pickup bolt in to a zj with a 5.2 YES what will it take to run the 5.2 fuel injection and what else is needed

The 318 is internally balanced and the 360 is externally balanced so you will have to use the torque converter from the 360 for this. Also you will need a ecu for the 5.9 and a set of 24lb ford injectors would be good. I haven't read up on this swap in a while but you'd be surprised how much information there is out there if you search around. I had to look this up a while back but it's been years.

Why would you want to do that when you could just get a 5.9L that's already fuel injected that will more or less bolt in?

because i have the 5.2 zj and the 87 pickup with 360 already so are the heads the same between the 87 motor and a 98 motor can you have a chip burnt or do you have to replace the ecm any web site about this swap would be great
