I'm looking to find a good trailer to pull my landcruiser on. I am only driving a 1500 Dodge with the 5.9 so it really can't be anything extremely heavy. Any suggestions where to find a good deal on one? Money is always an issue

You got the wrong 5.9. "Cummins" is the key word. I know, I'm a smart a$$. Actually, I have the perfect trailer that I'm putting up for sale since I bought a new gooseneck. But you're in CA, right?

Word of advice... lightest trailer you can find. I have a 5.9L 360 in my dodge as well.
I've towed 2 Jeep on Trailers before:
1) 20' Flatbed, roughly 2,000lbs, CJ5 (304V8, T18, 33" tires, D44 front/rear). Maybe 5500lbs total? Towed like it was non existant.
2) 8'x16' flatbed, estimated at 2500-3000lbs. (really should go weigh it) YJ loaded down for the weekend is upwards of 4800lbs. So, worst case an 8,000lb Trailer. I KNOW its back there when I go to climb a hill. Level small grades it's non existant, but accelerating sucks. Engine spends too much time floored in 2nd gear with that thing on the hills.

check ebay every day for a couple weeks. You can score really nice deals on there if you're willing to drive a few hundred miles to pick something up.
