very cool... my only reaction on the bad side of things was that the rear doesn't seem to flex as much as it should... I just thought it strange that the tire is so far off the ground.. and after looking more I notice that the right rear tire is rubbing very hard on the tubing and that must be causing that wheel to come off the ground.. are you gonnna fix that? or for some reason is that the way you want it???? kewl truck though!

Are those shocks long enough buddy??? Maybe repositioning of them will help a bit.
Flatty 10-15-2001, 09:39 PM That thing is cool, I really dig it, but the rear is not flexing like it should because of the shocks. theya re limiting your flex in a massive way. If that is what you were aimigm for, then KICK ASS, otherwise, an easy fix

The rear actually looks like it works pretty good except for the rear steer. The front could go a little farther. Very coo tho.
TOY4RKS 10-15-2001, 11:00 PM Hay KSJO Rocks and the buggy ain't to bad either Those rear shocks could be longer with the tops angled into the center of the buggy. The tube work looks great.

ColdNorth 10-15-2001, 11:34 PM Ok, I'll bite. Why isn't the front flexing at all? What is it with 1/4 elip rigs and zero front flex?
EDIT:
Oh, ya, it looks fawkin' sweet tho.

Rear steer... I just finished a four link myself. Rear steer is a fact of life. It is just about minimizing it. It seems to me that if your lower links were mounted on on top of the housing it could be limited a bit more, rearsteer that is. The roll axis would then be a bit more parallel with the chassis.
Shaker 10-16-2001, 05:01 AM Nice tube work!! What frame did you use to start with? The front could use some different "softer" springs. With that rear link design you will have more "rear steer" than if the "upper" links were on the top of the diff. housing. Looks like you got the "hard" stuff outta the way now you just gotta "fine tune" it.....Good Job...
sawzall 10-16-2001, 08:44 AM Did you get the 60 in there yet, and what did you fawkers do to the front yard
Monkeyboy 10-16-2001, 11:48 AM People saying it doesn't flex?
Look what the Fawk he's parked on.
Suspension may need a little refinement, but lets see your rig drive that far up on the tractor
Nice Work

Jeepmangled87 10-16-2001, 12:19 PM should have put some swampers on it cool buggy just looks a little narrow to me..
ranger 10-16-2001, 01:28 PM That is sweet, you got skills! But the above comment someone made on the shocks limiting travel, Doesn't look like the shocks are a problem, look closely at the r/r tire and where its hitting on the tubes.

Look at the l/r tire, the shocks are limiting the downward travel...

brimy311 10-16-2001, 06:54 PM i just hope you guys are going to get some new tires for that thing...those tires are
flex is not too bad, but it will not keep up with a sniper
Smurf 10-16-2001, 08:26 PM No the 60 is still on the bench
The Buggy is not bad,we put on the trial for about $1800.00 It worked really well on Labor day weekend.
Ran the box about 18 times 2 times with my girlfriend driving.
Yes it needs work show me a rig that doesn't.
If you don't think it flexes good let's see your rig drive over a tractor like that.
Al Kaholick 10-17-2001, 12:53 AM from what I saw on labor day weekend it needs some work, breaking axles left and right, and could use more suspension travel, thats just my opinion. Remember the redhead that you let go for a ride? I was the guy with her, just so you maybe know who I am. Anyway, I think it has alot of potential

I guess i just have a different expactation of a buggy

40_Bones 10-17-2001, 03:29 PM Nice work. I don't see that cage failing.
The 60's and some tires sounds cool.

sawzall 10-17-2001, 04:19 PM Looks a little narrow??????????????? It's full width with 60's front and rear how are you gonna make it wider. As for needing a little work because of the broken front axles it only had a 44 on Labor day
Lookin good.
sawzall 10-17-2001, 04:26 PM Your right it probably won't keep up with a sniper, but then again it cost about $48,000 thousand dollars less than a sniper so what do you expect.
BTW that really was $1800 dollars invested.
