well, i talked to the man himself on the phone, and he told me, later this year at the SEMA (spelling) auto show in vegas they will have a new product available, (it was linked here a few days ago) and i promised to update you guys on price and availability

we are looking at $2000 to $3000 he said.......
and there will definitely not be any before september....BUT come hell or high water he would have one for the SEMA show (!?) some big show in vegas anyways

still claims it will be available by the end of the year......:D
lets hope so, and without any tailshaft changing, you can get over 200:1  (with stock diffs and the 4.8 first in your gearbox)

WOOOHOOO, i will post again any further updates that i hear about it, and i will keep hounding him, so that he works on nothing else (;)) jokes, but i will try and make him see the importance of cruiser stuff

also according to the website, its available for any cruisers???

cheers
rob

SEMA is a huge aftermarket show where everybody shows off their latest aftermarket stuff. Entrance is limited to the media, distributors and participants.

as long as you work for any business in the automotive industry you can get into sema; it is way worth checking out sometime but plan to spend a couple of days and bring your walkin' boots, cause it's huge. typical vegas.

$2-3K is a pretty healthy pricetag!

Is it 2000-3000 oz dollars or US dollars?

Hell yeah!

If you're talking OZ $$$, then it should only run us $1000-$1500 over here in the US. Taking into consideration that the 3.05 split case gears run about $1300 that is one hell of a deal! I'll be the first in line for this thing!

exactly what i thought, with no driveshaft mods, and no removal of transfer case necessary, it seems mighty good, and at only just more than the cost for the gears, its a cool deal......

thats estimated though......its likely to end up being more, and probably taking longer than till the end of the year.....i guess, cause the marlin and klune units both took ages and costed more than anticipated.........

either way i cant wait to hear more!

its pretty exciting for 40 owners...... or guys like me with super short rear shafts....... :flipoff2:

Help a dummy out.:D How will the Cruiser Crawler work? Now I'm not even sure how the Cruiser xfer case works. All I know is that both outputs are at the bottom. Which I guess means the rear drive runs through some case gears all the time. Where is this extra low attached? The pics on his site don't do me much good.

The setup allows all the drive from the gearbox to continue through into the crawler box, somehow it does a recution and goes back into the box gratly reduced. Clearly, I have no fawkin idea, similar to a fairey overdrive, but as an underdrive.

There's a five bolt (six maybe?) cap that goes over the transmission output shaft, where the giant stake nut(tm) lives. The marks cralwer bolts on there. Dunno fersure, but I suspicion that cap is the same bolt pattern for both one and two piece transfers, and the only theing different mark would have to make for early/middle/late transfers is 10/16/19 spline input gear to his crawlbox. Neato!

They are close but no cigar. 1/4 to 1/2 a hole off. I know cuz I wanted to use the SC one on the Toybox as it is not real tall.
