This may be a stupid question, but is there such a thing? I tried a google search but couldn't find what I think I need. I could find a 7 to 6, but not the other way around. I am borrowing a truck from one friend and a trailer from another. The truck has the 6 pin and the trailer has the 7 pin. So do I just have to buy two pigtail connectors and make my own?

yes I am a total rookie never towed my junk before this is the 1st time. :flipoff2:

i personally would just buy the right plug and spend a few minutes wiring it up.

its been my experience with adapters is that they are expensive and never work reliably for long.

if you only have 1 trailer that you pull you could change it to match whats on your truck,or you can add the female end to your truck alongside of whats there if you have multiple trailers that you tow and want versatility.

my 2 cents,for what theyre worth :)

He is borrowing both a truck and a trailer (from different people). Don't dick with your buddies wiring.... that's a sure way to never get to use thier stuff again. :shaking:

very true, unless the guys your borrowing the stuff from has totaly messed up the wiring and its all absolute junk... then you give it back to him better than before.

Done that before, and a few years back I loaned my old, little utility trailer to a buddy. He didn't end up using it for what he needed, but it came back to me with all [new] wiring and a couple new clearance lights. He felt it was the least for me letting him borrow it.

:smokin: in my book.
