ok i just finished my sas on my 94 and went to break in the front ring and pinion but ive discovered that when i lock both hubs in i get a horrible bind this is with only the hubs locked not in 4wd the front is a 5.29 unit with an e-locker, so does anybody know what the hell is going on?? it seems if i turn the wheel one way its damn near impossible to turn it back and this is while im not in motion so i dont think its the locker
thanks

I would start with jacking it up, on stands put it in "N" and see if itr spins free, then go from there.

well if i unlock the hub and put it in 4wd it drives around just fine, its just when i lock the hubs it, it will move in a straight line but wont turn worth a damn

sounds like the locker is "on" making a spool, that would be hard....unlock one hub.

Maybe the electric locker is stuck in the on postion, with my welded front it is hard to turn with the hubs locked in, on pavement when not moving.

Sounds to me like the pre load on your trunion bearings is wrong or your steering box has had the adjuster overtightened.

I think you need to put the rig on jack stands. pull the front tires off and then try to rotate the front wheels. try this with locking the locker and the hubs. Also try the different combinations.
I didn't know you where installing a e-locker?? NICE
