I have seen the SX's in action and i say they are AWESOME! they hug the rocks big time and get killer traction...also they have EXCELLENT sidewall protection. get em and run em at 6lbs of air :D works great :D

before i got my 42's i ran 38.5 sx's and i ran them on 4 or 5 psi most of the time. 6 was alittle too much for the stiff sx.....atleast on my rig it was. ;)

If it does not say Interco on the sidewall than it is an "All-Terrain"
:flipoff2:

Unfortunately, Thornbirds say Interco, so that's not necessarily a good indicator.... :flipoff2:

just a question, but is the thornbird a good tire for what it IS?

i am looking at Thornbirds for my Daily Driver and i want an Interco, but i also want an all-terrain...what do you guys think?

they suck on road too

If you want a daily driver from Interco, I've heard good reports about their Radial series, NOT the SSR's. Had a set of 33's and liked them on road and off, but the sidewalls are not close to the SX's.

So has anyone ran the SX on the road for a long period of time? I'd love to get a set but I still drive my 40 almost every day with a 30 min commute. I'm worried I'll wear them out in a couple months and that they're road manners aren't that great.

What say all of you experts?

i've never heard "bias ply" and "daily driver" in the same sentence....except in 1950 :flipoff2:

seriously i dont think they would last very long on road and i dont know of many places that would balance a tire that big (you would have to use golf balls) and you would have to have on board air too....but what do i know--i dont even own any! hehe

well my first pair of sx's were just plain awsome, not a weight on-em and they rode like a wet dream on the road. my current set is not as balance, i have a spot on the rear that shimmies the truck just a bit at around 40mph otherwise its a real smooth ride. i dont have data on a DD commute, but i have been on the highway at speed for 2 hrs at a time driving to some of my rockhounding locales, the last set lasted 3 yrs, and i'm aproaching one year with these, wearing fine.

:tailbetweenlegs: i guess i will go sit in my corner :D hehe

what do you guys recommend for the best all-terrain tire?? i have 32" sport king A/T's on right now and like them muy mucho...but what do you think.

SX

Interco .... would never put anything else on my truck other than Swamper. It's like the difference of sleeping with your wife vs sleeping with your girlfriend :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Was considering naming my first son Swamper - but I didn't want to sipe him.:flipoff2:

I just bought a set of interco Trxus tires, these things rock!!
It's a street friendly swamper with plenty of teeth for the rocks.

Check them out!

I'm guessing I know, but what's the consensus on BFG MT/KMs?

a great trail tire, nothing too aggressive and better on road than any other "mud" tire you will find.
if you want a good all round medium duty tire with nice road manners, its a great choice.
