I have a 92 yj and I want to run 35 or 36 inch tall tires and I'm debating if i should stick to the stock spring under with 4inch springs and a shackel reversal or just do a SOA conversion. I'm on a very tight budget but I dont mind spending a couple extra bucks for something that works good. Also witch setup would allow more flex and travel?

I went RE 4.5 SUA but if you have the expertise then go SOA. I can't weld and don't have access to one. Also my jeep is a daily driver. Whenever I finnaly get another vehichle mine will probably go SOA too.

Over, and with a small boy lift or lift springs if you want to clear 35s or 36s.
My YJ was SOA with stock springs. I just installed a two inch body lift to keep the tires (35"s) out of the fenders. After every trip, I would have to go through and bend the fenders back into place
The fronts still rub a little with the body lift.

What does your book say about Matt Burkett in his SUA Jeep taking first at ARCA's Las Cruces event? Besides the obvious driver skill aspect.

Lockers front and rear make flex less important. But good counterpoint.
I say over. I hope you don't have a long commute.
Don't forget that with either you will need the SYE kit.
If you do go SOA I say get the kit, so you can do it in a weekend and not have to hunt parts.

Looks like I'm going SOA. Lukily my brother's a welder. I do have a short commute to work and school every day but I figure I'm young, I can handle it. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Over no doubt you will have excellent flex.
