I just installed one and noticed that it makes a buzzing noise. Is this normal?

Mine did the same thing when I had it in the cab. Drove me nuts.
I ended up moving it into the engine compartment to solve the problem.

Mine made lots of noise....Either of you guys having starting problems? When I had mine hooked up it was interrupting the fuel injectors when I tried to start it after it was warm....

I have a 6A in my toy and it makes no noise at all. Make sure that it has a good ground.

I emailed MSD and they said it's normal. They also told me that if it bothered me that much to send the unit in so a transformer can be replaced to eliminate the noise. This is covered by their warranty so I'll definitely send it in.:)

I've seen that happen in circuits before, the transformer core vibrates at the frequency that's going through it. We usually just ended up bonding it to the circuit card.
