that's rediculous. I thought the Excursion held a good market niche. I almost bought one a couple months ago. It's the only SUV offered with a diesel...

i think they lost all of their market by making it so damn expensive, along with the F250/350. i read somewhere that ford makes $15,000 profit on an excursion!!! now thats just ridiculous. maybe if they catered more to the person that would need one, IE average joe who needs to haul a lot of people plus a trailer, they would sell tons.

cloth seats, bench front
manual trans
steel wheels
plastic front end like in the base model 250/350

and they would sell like hot cakes. highway depts, govt agencies, etc would be all over them. a diesel, manual transmission workhorse that can haul 9 people plus gear.

I think it would be badass to have a Excurz on 44's...

I don't see very many of them Excursions where I live (KC), nor where my family lives ('Bama).

9V, I agree with you about the commercial petential. Ford is just to centered on making yuppies happy. Leather on saddles yes. Vinyl on seats.

Oh well, they dropped the Fullsize Bronco line and the re-sale prices dropped like a rock... Hopefully, the same will happen here and we can start picking up PSD Excursions for cheap prices ;)
