Is there a differant carrier for low gears in a 14 bolt ff. I want to run 456 gears with a welded open carrier. Is there a differance or do they just use a thicker gear. Thanks for the help.

there is a case change unless you buy the thick gears.

I believe the split is 4.56 and lower and 4.11 higher.

There is a case split but you can also buy thick gears in most cases.

You can only buy thick gears for 4.56 and 4.88. If you want 5.13, you need the correct carrier.
