I need some long arms, just debating if I want to buy the RE upgrade kit, or build my own.

If you BUILT your own, what kind of ends did you use, where did you get them? What kind of tube did you use?

I want to build it kinda like the RE kit, so long lowers and long rear uppers, but thinking of triagulating the rear uppers.

What are you using for a skid plate? What type of hangers for the rear frame did you use?

Any adjustments\replacement of the stock exhaust system?

Thanks for your input, and of course pics and company names are helpful.

I feel confident in building these myself, so lets hear it!

DIY it. You can buy all the quality parts you need for the cost of the upgrade. Best advice I can give is to read up on Chassis/Suspension geometry, and keep your brackets separate from your skid plate, so you can do a clutch/ make repairs without dissasembling the susp.

I have a writeup on mine here (http://www.nwlink.com/~jp95/la/reararms.html).

I still don't have a good pic of the rear uppers (too busy wheelin',) and the exhaust is getting bent up this Friday, but this'll give the basics for what I did.
