anyone have any info for me on this? or even an educated guess? I am looking at an 88ext. cab ranger 302/C-6/4x4 w/3.73 gears and 33 BFG all terrains and wondered if anyone on this wonderful board has any idea or experiance with a similar setup. If I end up buying this it will be my DD.Assuming I take it easy on the go pedal could I expect 15-16 MPG? I know it will be better than my 96 F-350 w/460 but I am hoping considerably. thanx for any input

C6 is gona kill it. A buddy DD'd a 2wd ranger that was bone stock except for a 5.0/5speed out of a mustang and got mid 20s. This was on stock sized tires and gearing. I dont think 15 is out of the question but the C6 is a power sucker

302? 105hp Crown Vic speed density? 13:1 solid roller cam of death and two Holley's? Something inbetween that?

Honestly if its stock-ish you'd be lucky to get 14. Real lucky.

It is a new rebuild I believe it is stockish it may have a little cam but nothing radical. It is carbed butI also have a 5.0 from an 89 marquis w/an AOD that I would be willing to put in if would make a big diifference. I don`t think the fuel injection would make a big enough diiference to justify the swap, but the AOD might be worth the overdrive gear. Advance Adapters makes a kit to put mate the AOD to the stock t-case, which brings about another question. How much abuse will the AOD handle? As future plans would bring EB axles and plenty of off roading. thanx for the input guys

My 97 ext cab had a 289HiPo that was pretty healthy with a C6, 4.56 gears and 33s. I got about 12mpg in town normal driving.
