i bought my first I.F.S. 4x4 truck, and i want to make it a orject for offroad but on road as well, i'm not familier with the new chevys, so i was curoius if there is anyhting i should know, look for and stay away from?i would really appreciate it

don't waist time or money on the ifs,cut it off and ad a straight axle.78,79 hp d60 is what i would use.good luck

well i'v decided not to get it, i finally got a 350 crate motor for my 83 straight axel 1/2 ton silverado with a granny low trnasaxel, but i agree with the ifs though 100%

Much better starting point for a project 4x4 with offroad use intentions than something with IFS.......what condition is it in?
