just wondering if there is a different rod end I can use on a FJ60 pitman arm. I tried an FJ80 rod end but it was too small. Is there a ford/chevy full size rod end that would work?

well, on my saginaw conversion, I used a 70's heep truck pitman arm (it's too short, I need to change it) and the bj60 tie rod end I had seemed to fit it perfectly.
so maybe a 70's jeep rod end will be right? worth a look I guess.

cheers,
ryan

Here is the scoop... I could not find any rod ends that will fit the LARGE taper of the FJ60 pitman arm...so I by accident figured out the ball stud on the FJ60 arm fits the Tie rod end on the relay rod of an FJ40...which is a 17mm x 1.5 pitch thread. The rod end(attached to the pitman arm of a stock FJ40 1972 and newer manual steering box) has a screw plug on the end and a spring etc in it. It is discarded with a Saginaw conversion so finding one will be easy...The FJ60 rod ends are much harder to find...

Hope that helps...

thanks, I'll try both suggesions. Is that FJ60/40 rod end any good, the one I got with the box fell apart easy, thats why I was looking for something beefier to replace it
