Is a 2 piece adapter, he side pic did not come out so it will be morning before I can get another one...
Anyone seen one of these before?
So far, I see a reference to TCK in a post shows here:
http://www.barneymc.com/toy_root/techtalk/engine/v8_swaps.htm
But no real info yet....
toy283 08-01-2002, 09:24 PM In '89 when I was gathering information about my swap, TCK was one of the manufacturers of adapters (along with AA & Downey). As far as I know, they disapperared about 1993. If I did some serious digging, I could probably come up with an old catalog. What I do remember is that they were significantly more expensive than either Downey or AA for the adapter. I do have their PS pump bracket though.
ROKTOY 08-01-2002, 10:27 PM Yep, they used to make some interesting adapters.

Bonzai 08-01-2002, 10:28 PM If I am remembering correctly, TCK used to run the ads offering bellhousing adapters for Toy 5 speeds to Chevy smallblocks???
ROKTOY 08-01-2002, 10:34 PM Yeah, just found my 1994 catalog.
They sold bellhousings to mate Toy trannies to Chevy V6s and V8s, flywheels, pressure plates, clutch discsTH350 adapters, motor mounts, headers, pans, etc.

4runner 08-05-2002, 04:35 PM Yeah I had one once....there was two pieces to the adapter PLUS a special shortened output shaft for the tranny.....
I paid like $300 for mine when I did a V8 swap back in 85......let it go with tthe rest of what was left of the truck after it was totaled....

Hmmm.... that is good to know about the shortened output shaft, I will be sure to keep that in mind if/when I ever have to tear into it or make changes...
4runner 08-05-2002, 04:42 PM Yeah their "special" shaft was about 3/4" shorter than than a factory 4WD output shaft....

So technically a person could just cut off the a stock one, right?

I've got the Downey TH350 2 piece adapter that looks very similar to the TCK adapter. It also uses a special short output shaft to mate the 350 to the input of the Toy t-case. I've compared it to the stock TH350 output shaft and it's definetly different, not just shortened.
