---what about the expedition parked next to it??? looks great btw---brad
Project4ever 09-19-2001, 09:02 PM The expedition is not mine, it is just what got it home.
I think the axles are like 63" wide. Outside tire to outside tire is 83". The springs are 57" long from older Ford F150s.
I did a lot more fender cutting today, Im really itching to take it out. Ive owned it almost 2 years, and it hasn't hit the trials yet.
Chris
Kensoffroad 09-19-2001, 09:08 PM cool!

his brother and himself built it once, then he wanted bigger, scraped everything but the 350 tbi. i spent 8 months wrenching on it everyday. he helped on the weekends. dont get me wrong, my bro knows his stuff.
too much work and lack of time caused him to have it built agian. mike ladd took care of that

73cjsteve 09-20-2001, 12:09 PM It took forever to get those tires off your truck. It almost cut into my drinkin' time. At the bar that is.

RoCkSkuLLz 09-20-2001, 04:14 PM the cruiser looks good! I dig the front bumper too... is that custom?
Project4ever 09-20-2001, 05:48 PM Been doing a lot of cutting. Top and doors are off and it sits a little better.
I am going to put an add-a-leaf in the front, and the overload spring in the rear. I think that should be ok.
Drove it to work today, 4 miles, probably the longest trip is as been on in the last 2 years.
Chris
BnTMike 09-20-2001, 05:56 PM Hey Chris..After you set the toe did the wobble go away? Its going to cleanup right?

Oh ya I forgot to see if its ok to put up some pics of the project on my site. Hope your still happy with it.
Project4ever 09-20-2001, 06:05 PM Mike,
The toe was off about 1/2 inch (as well as I could measure with a ghetto yard tool and tape measure setup.) I fixed that and did a lot of tightning of every bolt I could get my hands on. I havent had the problem since.
Post all the pics you want. I don't know if its going cleanup, I may not have a way to get it there.

Adam Ant 09-21-2001, 01:30 PM Cool Thank's Bronco Boy
I will Start Looking for them!
Adam,
Cliffy [JD] 09-21-2001, 04:54 PM Ok I feel stupid for being the only one to ask this.
What is involved in the 60/14bolt rear set-up
Sounds like a good idea but how much ground clearance do you gain???
broncoboy 09-21-2001, 11:01 PM ok cliffhanger dont feel dumb, that is a viable question. the 60 my homo brother has in the rear is a dana 60 and it has 14 bolt ends. this allows 35 spline full float axles. chop off the spindals and press them on the 60 tubes, and weld, you use the hubs and spindals, can one say beefy.
i say go cheap and get a 14 bolt and fuck wasteing money. but my brother is gay and just likes to be able to write 60s f/r

could I weld this up at home if I had a press big enough to press the ends on or do I still need a jig to align the spindles correctly ?
- jack
broncoboy 09-22-2001, 01:35 PM depends, i dont exactly know, im sure you should use a jig, well i think maybe
