Is it pretty solid laterally?

Are you going to rub the links?

I had to inboard my lowers from the frame just to be sure my little 38's and future tires had clearance from the lowers.

Yea belive it or not it is pretty solid from what we have tried it out on so far even without the front shocks and to keep from hitting the lower links we stopped the steering at 3"s instead of full lock of 4"s.

When I welded my coil mounts to my frame up front after time the frame started to crack. I now have 1/4 plate on my frame up front.

We used the motor hoop and shock hoops to try and control the frame from twisting since it was never intended to have the coil spring mounts on it i will try and get some pics up tomorrow of that and on the mounts they are from Ballistic very nice stuff and they worked great.

you better cut those bushings off and use some hiem joints or johnny joints.

Using the correct bushing it will be fine. Remember most all big rigs use bushings for all their link configurations. Just gotta use the right ones for the job.

These seem to work great we got them from Ruff Stuff Specialties with the new shocks mounted but very little drive time it does seem to ride and handle very well.

What are the spring from?

extremeoffroad

They are a 4" lift spring for a 1/2 ton ford truck.

I gotcha, kinda thought that is what it looked like. So u made those link ends on an angle to match the shackle hanger and still line up with the truss.

Ever hear the saying, You can never have to much fun? bullshit. I'm pretty sure he got all the fun out of it . All of the running gear is ok so we are now looking for a new build up for ideas. And as for what happened, from what Frank said it crossed a ditch on the pass side drove up the bank landed on the driver side and proceeded down the road pretty much on its side for around 120ft, built up enough dirt in front of it that it turned up on the nose endo style and then came to rest over on the pass side. Sure doesn't look like alot of fun but everyone was ok.

Shoots, as long as the axles and drivetrain are good, you can find a engineless donor truck almost anywhere for nothing...good luck and keep us updated.

That Sucks! What actually caused the accident?

If i had to guess, I would say driving too damn fast...

Was a cool truck though. Now find a s-10 and put all your shit into that. Just a thought.
