There seems to be some debate.
I am switching out my 304 to a 360 and It seems every other person says I need a fly wheels for a 360
SO what is it Do I need a Fly wheel or will my 304 fly wheel work with a 360 harmonic balencer.
the flywheels are balanced differently, so you need a new one

I thought I had heard somewhere that you can have your 304 "re-balanced" somehow for a 360?
I dunno, I've slept since then.

you can rebalance them. The flywheel is the same casting, just different weights.

I wouldn't even screw with it. Just get the right one.

You can definitely rebalance them. This is what I had done with mine, and no problems at all. Theroretically you should have the entire rotating assembly balanced as a unit, but I wasn't about to tear the engine apart, and have had no grief so far.

Hey Steve, why are you swapping to the 360? Did you bomb your other motor?

Yea on its maidn voyage no doute
The timing chain skipped a few teeth apparently, So I figured why I have the down time I might as well go ahead and replace it with a 360.
The motor is pretty tired anyways.
