Hi all,... just a query about my prado. Having problems with 03 diesel model. With 114000km's on it, the car is now warming up and radiator emptying itself everyday into overflow. Local dealer wants to check head. Am a little concerned about possible cracked head after this many km's...... anybody else had any problems?

Do you have the Prado from new? Where you pushing the motor hard (long steady 3600+ rpm highway runs in hot weather)? If you got it used, how was the previous owner treating her?
In the D4D diesel engine found in Prados, the head gasket and the cylinder head itself are prone to failure, especially if pushed hard (not just "used") in very hot weather, for long highway trips with heavy load or during towing.
If you don't push them really hard, they can last a lifetime.
114000km is barely a run-in period for these engines, and for any good diesel. Get it fixed and remember, it's not a high-revving petrol V-engine, it's a diesel workhorse.
