I am going to be getting some new 4.57's along with a 4.16 t-case for my sami. What brand of ring and pinion is the best?

I'd go with Yukon's from Tim at North Coast Offroad.

I have not had a single failure with Yukons Yet... Now, if you put 44" Boggers on the stock axles with a V-8, yes its all possible... Randy's Carrys yukons...

We have a nice little package deal for the 4.57 gears AND the 4.16 tcase gears. Feel free to email us direct if you have any questions.

Find gears priced lower than ours and we'll beat their price by $10.

We've installed countless of them. Feel free to email us direct if you have any Q's.

I am running Yukons' 4.57 without any problem. Besides this, customer service of NCO in excellent. But instalation kit is very bad, I have to install them twice and change the crush sleeve for OEM one, also OEM shims are also better.

Yes I will be setting them up myself with the help of a few club members. They have insalled gears before.

Sounds like the Yukons are the way to go. NCO does have good customer service, but if I can get them from Randy's Ring and Pinion for a good price I will get them there. Shipping from Randy's will be a lot cheaper for me. In fact, I could take a day off and drive there to pick them up:D

I have the Yukon 4.57's coupled to the 6.1 t-case gears and it is an awesome combination for >33-inch tires on the highway and in the rocks. I haven't had a single problem with the Yukons despite all the torque going through them for all these miles. If you need lower gearing, they also have 5.38's. Apparently almost all of the Yukons that have :nuke: have been a result of improper setup, so make sure yours are assembled properly.

Yukon good. Genuine BAD!

I run a Yukon 5.29 in the front of my Yota. Set up easily (so my buddy who did it said) and have been trouble-free so far. I did the same thing you did... took a 3 hour drive to the Randys warehouse in Franklin, TN and picked them up same day... since I needed them for a trail ride THAT weekend, and it was wednesday.

Randy's will deal if you call around and get prices on this same (or comparative, such as precision and so on. Find a couple other places that sell them (rocky road, NCO, and so on) and call the randys rep with your lowest price. Remember, although you won't be paying shipping, you WILL prbably pay tax if you pick them up, so it might not be worth it unless you live real close or needed them yesterday.

Remember to develop the 3 stages, 500 miles break in procedure.
