I've got some questions... The diesel boards are little to no help, they either have a 12v or only want to talk about programmers..

I've got a 99 24v truck with a NV4500 in it.. i just finished putting it in last night

I ditched the 47re, now my truck wont start. I know there is a neutral safety switch in the auto, but how do i bypass it? i dont know which pig tail comming off the tranny was for the switch..

I also need to figure out my reverse lights, again, which pig tail are they in??

also, i have a NP241 T-case, with the new tranny, the whole deal is only 3/4" of an inch shorter than my 47re was. will 3/4" be a big deal on my rear drive shaft??? i wouldn't think it would.

also, is there a decent diesel board that people do write ups?? even TDR has limited write ups.. on anything

jumper the nuetral and park wires to the hot wire on the tranny sensor plug. then it will always sense the tranny is in neutral and you are good to start. theres only a small harness that heads down to the tranny most those wires sense where the gear indicator is at. all the wires on the pigtail that used to plug into the auto are all you need to jumper to get it to sense its in neutral and extend for the reverse lights

3/4" on the diveline wasnt too big of a deal depends on your seal surface, some trucks it is a big deal others dont seem to matter

thanks..

I've got the truck running and driving, i'm sure glad i went this route and didnt rebuild the auto ...

My clutch is a little funky, i have to push the pedal almost through the floor to get it to shift into gear from a dead stop.. I used the dodge factory/slave combo but it seems like there is no adjustment.. any ideas of what i can do??

i have a SB clutch in it

south bend offers an adjustable master/ slave combo becareful not to over adjust too much on the top can be too much. yes the last 1" of travel is about when it disengages all the way.

glad you got it running. the 98,99,00 24v's arent hard to go from auto to stick, its the 01/02's that are wicked

:mad3::mad3: I asked all my Dodge buddies before i bought the slave/master from Dodge, they said dont buy anything but the factory part, we've been through them all, its not worth it. If you buy anything else, your stupid.

i even knew that the SB one was adjustable.. this pisses me off, i should have bought the SB version. This truck is boarder line miserable to drive..

if it's started in reverse, it lunges backwards:eek:

just out of curiosity, what makes the o1-02's so hard to swap?
