Just curious, there are a couple of neat builds but I can't find any finished to see good pics. Sorry for the lame "show me your pics" thread but the builds aren't getting updated. :homer:

If you are interested John Scheidhauer has one for sale in TN. The guys do excellent owrk. The car is not complete.

Search the for sale section and you should find it.

I looked around but didn't see his, what name would it be under. I did see another green one that was pretty nice though.

I'm mostly just curious to get a feel for the final wheelbase vs the chassis, I'd like to see how big they are. I've been thinking about one for a K5 frame, these seem a ton easier than having something built or buying a bender and paying for the learning curve.

As far as I know. Formula fours are not designed to be set on an existing frame. It is designed to be a rolling chassis.
Im sure it could be modified to do what you want.

John Checks in here regularly. Im sure he will contact you via PM. I will do a quick search and see what I can find.

Finished Formula Fours are few and far between. Mine, F006, is still in the build process, but will be picking up speed in a couple weeks.

The Formula Four chassis, being 12" longer than the 2-seater, is designed for the long-bed and extended cab frames. :)

I have F005. It's pretty much done. I don't think these projects are ever really "done". I had a build post going but my photo server went down and I don't feel like reposting all of them. Here are some current pics.

WTF, your wheelbase is 119"? It looks like your tires are gonna rub on the chassis tubes...I was planning on running 112-115 max... shit.

I don't rub right now. I plan on running 39.5's next so I may have to push (the rear) out to 120".

There's nothing wrong with the driver. I'm standing outside while Mike was helping me wire my headlights. The last time I took it out someone broke down and our (day) run turned into a night run. I was stuck driving back from Aftershock to camp with a head mounted flash light.

I had a great time watching the comp. After everyone cleared out of the first couse I went and ran it. It took me 13:10 so I would have timed out but I'm still pleased with my F-Four. The guy spotting for me is real new to rock crawling and never spotted for me before. Plus I was able to easily do the bonus line.

My turning radius sucks bad, I had to back up a lot. I think some ARB's in my future.
