waggy axle shaft in XJ housing? [Archive]

any one know if the axle shafts from a waggy will fit in an 87 XJ dana 44 housing? I have a 88 waggy dana 44 rear that I blew up this weekend. the axle shafts are still goof but everything else is shot. I also have a cherokee dana 44 rear housing. no axle shafts just the housing. can I put the axle shaft in the XJ D44?

I would just goto the garage and check but the housing is in another state 6 hrs away and I would have to go pick it up.

they are both appriximately 60" wide and they are both offset like 1" or so.
