Took some pictures of the damage I picked up at Walker Valley.

The bent Z worries me a little, but it is not tweaked too bad, and not crushed or dimpled...

The rest of it is just cosmetic stuff.

Hooper, it's time to get serious on that beetch. You need some 35's, get the tires outside the fenders a little and cut that beetch up. Bigger/wider leads to less body damage (unless your me)! Face it you're never going to restore the Hooper rig, so wheel the sheet out of it.

Naw, it will get restored, someday. But, that is not holding me back. Should have seen me hammering it go get up Boulder Creek. Need to grab video from rick and post a couple mpg's. No holding back for me!!

I don't have 35's cuz I don't have money for the gears I need to really run them well.

I was in Discount this morning airing up, and they had the BFP Radial Rockcrawler 35's. Someone was test fitting them.

Sweet looking tire. It would fit just fine.....

When these 33's wear out, I will put 35's on.

Don't think 35's would have helped on this trail though. Still would have banged the side. Might have cleared the Z though. Hard to say.

33's are too small, no question, but I don't want bigger tires without the gears to turn them.

I just bought brand new Spicer R&P's for D44. They came with an install kit (everything needed to install them except new carrier bearings). $185 + tax. Just save some pennies here and there and it won't take long to get the cash for new gears.

That's a good price, where did you buy them?

Bought them from Inland Truck Parts...... oh, wait minute. I forgot our club gets a discount at ITP. But I will agree, it was a damn good price.

Yep, about $200 per axle for gears, then another $700 for the tires.

So, around $1000 or so, and some Thomas Kemper for someone to help me set them up...

Still going to be a while. I don't drop that much $$ into my rig all that often. Probably by next spring I will make the move. If I can sell my tires for a couple hundred, that will help, of course.

The video turned out good. I could probably E mail you a clip but you would have to post it ( I couldn't):(

Bigger tires and such isn't always the answer. I was denied at boulder creek with my 38's and Hooper made it with 33's.:)

Well, that was a width issue. The trade off with big tires. I managed to squeeze between two big rocks that you had to try and scale. Course, I didn't squeeze very well, and got a nice crunch to prove it. ;)

Look forward to seeing the video. I'll try to do a couple captures next week. I need to talk the boss into buying that *dazzle* setup... ;)
