Would you consider this winch adequate for my 3300lb Formula Four? It's $513 right now.

It will be fine. I run the 6000lb version on my ftoy.

Price is excellent and the winch is very good.

Negative. It was free shipping. They did gig me for tax though. I ordered it
Sunday afternoon and it arrived wednesday. It was sitting on my front porch

Nope... 2x that... new in the box, not rebuilt or even ever mounted.....

I got the winch all mounted up. Not sure the control box is going to stay where it is now. I would have liked to put it on top of the winch but I didn't want to block the radiator too much.

I had the same concern with blocking the radiator.

I wouldnt worry if the cooling system is up to par. I have the 9500 winch with solenoids across the top blocking half my radiator and a PS cooler blocking half of that. Car has never overheated.

How hot does your motor get? I've had mine up around 225F on long hard climbs or high rpm assaults. Normally runs around 180-190 on the trail.

Mine always stays pretty cool. I have a Tarus two speed fan. I've never have to turn on the hi speed.
