Getting ready to go (10 mins or so) to the j/y and pull the efi stuff from a a late 80's 460.
I want to put the intake on my 76 460 that has D3VE (Carb) heads.
I have read yes and no on the swap working. I plan on port matching the manifold anyway.
Do I have to pull the heads? I really don't want to since I have alot of hours into porting my D3VE's and decking, maging, radius V/J.
HURRY! and sorry for a newb question, but I'm not finding a good answer.
thanks

why not make an efi intake? weld a couple bungs in, thread a couple holes and make a throttle body adapter and your set...
the efi is very similar to the carb intake, but they are barely off over the entire intake...:(

it'd be a pain in the butt to drill holes, make fuel rails, point them, make a TB fit, etc.
Bolt holes off?

Looks like it'll take some work.

there are EFI to carb adaptor plates, but I do not think the other way around.
you would be farther ahead in getting a intake machined for injectors. it is not all that hard. in fact, here is one thats for a 400 ford that I used on mine. mine uses stock or aftermarket 5.0 fuel rails. I am sure you could get it set up to use the stock 460 EFI rails.
