Has anyone tried the BDS or tuff country front springs? I want some different front springs, and i am thinking insted of messing with my set i was going to custom build, to just buy some off the shelf springs.. probabally 6" tuff countrys, and 5" BDS... i like the 5" higth more.. i have 3.5" now, and i want it taller (mainly to match the skyjacker 4" springs in the rear). Any opinons on either of these springs? or shoudl i look at another option (i dont think i want to get custom springs made)
thanks

I would have to say it depends on what you use your truck for. If you want your truck to flex then go with the spring that has the softest spring rate

I have national front spring on my truck they cost like $500 and took for ever to get but they flex and ride very nice. Alot of off the shelf springs have a spring rate thats way to high. My nationals have like ten leafs in them but the leafs are real thin.

I have the tuff country 6 inch springs in the front of my blazer and they ride fine on the street but they dont flex very well. They have 4 thick leaves so i guess that just proves that thick=stiff. So it depends on what you want to use your truck for i guess.

I have run both the 4" and 5.5" BDS springs the 5.5's were the best they flexed very well and road very good. I'm currently running a 6" superlift spring in the front and I like it a little better than the BDS but not enough to make a big difference.
