At the request of MustardDog I will repost this here.

I know thare are at least 20 to 30 people on this board from the San Diego area. Where are you? Why haven't you chimed in to support the reopening of Suprise Canyon?

You can spend your off time here on the Boards but you can't break away from here for two hours? Or are you to embarassed to fight for what little we are going to have left?

Todd and SanDiegoCJ have stood up! Where's the rest?

Edit: Stinkbug has just stood up to be counted

The rest of you make me sick!! YellowSub, Crowdog, and landuseorc bust thier ass to keep us informed.

The response to this subject is PATHETIC!!

That's fine, ya don't show then don't come to my campsite looking for help!! You won't get it!!!!!!

I'm fighting for mine and my daughter's right to Offroad!!! She is only 14 and loves this sport, will I have a chance to let her wheel?

With the response I have received in other forums and BBS's on the Internet, that answer is NO!!

This is one newbie that will be there. I have tried to get people from the socalxj list to go but so far not much luck. This is a great trail and we should fight to reopen it.

We've got the same problem over here in Michigan, only we're fighting to keep the few really really lame trails we have, and trying to convince the state ORV program that "any trail or forest road passable by a two wheel drive family sedan is legal for ORV use" doesn't really give us much to enjoy. I've been attending meetings for the last year and it's always the same three or four guys that show up and support the cause while everyone and thier brother bitches about noplace to ride and nothing to do. I'm planning a vacation out west to do some wheelin' and if there is a public land use meeting during the week or so I'm out there, I'll gladly take an evening out of my vacation to attend.

Just because I haven't replied to every post you have put up on every BBS doesn't mean I haven't been to the meetings.

I personally don't respond to such posts. I don't want some one who is thinking about attending seeing a bunch of " I'll be there" posts and deciding his presence isn't needed.

And yes, I have attended 2 of the Surprise EIS meetings- Ridgecrest and Pasadena. Shoulda seen the reaction from the lady manning the parking structure booth when I pulled in in my M-715. With the windshield folded down it barely fit the 6'6" clearance:D . Almost took my head off on a water pipe pulling into my parking spot:eek:.
