OK – I’m swapping a 32rh trans (aka TF999) from an 01 Wrangler into my 83 CJ7 to go between the MC2100 carb equipped 258 and D300 (replacing the existing T176).

I’m planning to use a Lokar KD cable and it’ll probably come with some sort of instructions – but I’m a little slow (OK .... a lot slow!) when it comes to hooking up the kickdown cable at the carb end. Bottom end (trans end) of the cable seems pretty straight forward.

A few pics of the top end (carb end) linkage of an MC2100 carb on a 258 with an auto trans would be really helpful – or maybe a helpful link.

Whatever you do, make sure the lever on the trans is fully pulled when you are at wide open throttle.
