: What would you offer for an enclosed trailer like this

Here's what I know...

40' gooseneck made by Vintage Trailers, the living area conversion was done after it was purchased by a previous owner. It's a 95 or 96 model year trailer, unknown mileage. 2 AC units (unknown size), 13KW Honda powered Generator less than a year old with under 70 hours on it, toilet, shower, sink, microwave, shitter, exterior work lights and awning. Triple 5,200lb axles, tie down track all over the place and some crappy TVs and stuff like that. One window in the gooseneck sleeping area and an RV window in the side door. Unknown fresh water holding capacity.

Obviously the interior wood looks a little tired but I'm more concerned about how long a trailer like this is expected to last. Is 13 years too old for a trailer like this or does it all depend on mileage?

I plan on checking it out this weekend but I have no idea what just the base trailer would be worth. I'm just looking for a ball park value and advice on what to look for when I check it out.

No fawkin' way that's a 13KW generator. That's a 13HP engine driving the generator. Maybe more like a 7KW genny.

Good catch, didn't even pay attention... it looks to be this unit.

That makes me feel good because the seller is asking a whole lot more than that and I didn't want to low ball the guy. :D

Is it just my eyes or do those front jacks look mighty small for that size trailer?

It also appears that it started off as a 5th wheel and was converted to a gooseneck. Anything to worry about there if it was done correctly?

Nice to have a genset to run the a/c while on the road or while at the primitive campsite... But that's a loud fawker... Don't expect to get any sleep with 75 vibrating db right under your bed.

looks like its a removeable adapter. prolly nothing wrong with it,and you could use it that way,but i personally would ditch it and get a 5th wheel hitch for your truck :)
