did you strip the threads? You might want to pull out the third
member and fix it on the bench{ its brass so you dont stip the
threads on the third member} its not that hard to change
the line, better now then on the trail?:D

When I screwed on my Toyota rearend I pulled the drop out, took the line off the fitting and used a ez-out to get the piece out. Take the cover off, unscrew the air tube and take the fitting out and screw a new one in. I had enough extra tube that I cut it off and put a new ferrel on the air tube!!:D

Also it sounds to me like your installers put the brass air line up through the housing instead of through the third member. Now is the time to put it right. drill and tap a new hole and weld shut the old. The bastards that did mine did the same thing. IM LIKE DUDE!! its not a CHEVY!! the 3rd memeber is seperate from the housing. so should the air line.

Ok, i dont know if you guys understand my set up, i have a dana 60 rear and a dana revese cut 44 in the front, i broke the fitting in the front, the air line is supposed to be on the housing.
I can not just take the brass line off because there in not enough head sticking out.
Thnaks for tryin to help though.

I have a d44 w/ an arb too, I would try what OOP's said. The brass line should thread out, once you pull the cover, depending on where you ran teh fitting through the housing, with that done, an ez out should do the trick

PAt The fitting that the inside air tube screws to is like a nipple that screws in from the outside, you have to get the the small tube disconnected from the nipple in order to be able to unscrew the nipple out of the housing.

OOP'S, I know what your sayin but I cant get the "nipple" on the bottom off because there is not enough sticking out to grab on to.
THANKS for continuing to try to help!!

I'd call ARB. While you are ordering replacment parts (I'd order two of everything so you have a set a trail spares as well), ask them for advise on how to get the broken piece out. I'm sure they have probably run into this before...
Sorry, I'm not familiar with how an arb goes into a 44.
