This was covered in the past when this question was asked. If Pirate does not find sponsorship to pay for it, it cannot happen. It's a good opportunity for a company but the later it gets, the more things cost. I have not heard in the last week if they found a sponsor.

Andy has already said he won't be available. Will PBB at least have an area to host the coverage. I'm sure we'll be able to post updates during the event.

We can use my air card and post like we did for Rausch, or the wireless if we can pick it up and somebody can man their computer and do it.
As far audio, that's another story.....

I wish I could, but it would probably cost me my job :( Anyone know of any good telecommuting jobs

I am sure Lance can set you up with some space. Heck, I should be home all weekend so if you need some help just let me know.

So after all of the hype for the new ASNs we are not even going to have updates?? Is there going to be anything on WeRock"Live"? I would have thought that Cooper Tires would want better coverage.

C'mon!

Well we will have up dates as coverage on pirate4x4 for those great teams that have made the effort to be part of this first of it's type event.

and remember we have Spike TV's Extreme 4x4's coverage of this event as well and the 1.2 million homes that it reaches

I think Cooper Tire Company will be plenty happy with the coverage our little event will be getting

:shaking:

Thanks for your concern

And I'm assuming the A to Z Fab sponsorship offer, in response to the many requests put out by Pirate for help on coverage, got lost in cyberspace???
:shaking:

It's our job to put on the show, the media's job is to show up IF they find enough value in it. Cooper has a ton of value in this event and will find solid ROI for their money. Just because Pirate makes our world go around, that doesn't makes it a high priority for Cooper. Their focus was into attracting local fans and distributors and the rest is just icing...HOWEVER, the media coverage for the All Stock Nationals, presented by Cooper Tires, if Extreme 4x4 does what they said they are doing, will have more media impressions than ANY OTHER EVENT THIS SEASON...so yes, Cooper gets better coverage...glad you pointed that out so positively.

And/or have kids. ;)

Dustin, actually I never did see anything looking for sponsorship of the coverage of the event and never received requests for it.

My point was that it must be hard for ASN competitors, and their sponsors, to feel as important as say Pro Mod and Unlimited competitors that received live coverage during their GNs. Obviously, I do not know all of the details so I speak merely as a spectator looking at the situation from an enthusiast view point. Like Dustin mentioned, the TV coverage will be great for those that see it. Unfortunately, the power of Pirate has made many of us accustomed to the quality coverage.

Anyway, I don't care all that much since it is a pre-gone conclusion that Kurt and Chris of Team Quadratec will be walking away with the championship. :flipoff2:

And that means you didn't even read THIS thread...u'mmm, look up...post #5...

And a number of other threads included that Pirate was looking for a sponsor for the coverage. Also, read this thread again and see where we've talked here, as well as elsewhere, where we are still going to do an update thread, just not have audio.

Lance didn't get the sponsors, Andy was too busy keeping his job, we will STILL have updates here, and note again, as we've noted in the past in other threads, that we are very excited to welcome SPIKE's Xtreme4x4 TV for an event that runs perfectly in sync with their sponsor's customers as these teams run the same parts and brands that their viewers run, or long to run, or will soon run after they see how well these stock modifieds perform.

FYI, Cooper showed up to the street display we did tonight, where they closed the entire block in old town, with locals and fans showing up to see all of the rigs on display...Cooper rolls in with a big rig that has a trailer that hydraulically unfolds into a full display... :smokin: They'll be out to the event this weekend as well. They are excited, have a very large number of VIP's coming out, we have a 20x40 VIP tent with food and hospitality for them, the course area looks amazing and they will be VERY excited to see the results of their involvement.
