Anyone know what the input spline count for a 242 behind an auto out of a 88 XJ? What about the count on a 231 behind a I6, stick combo? (out of a 90 XJ)

IIRC, the 242 will be a 21 spline, and so will the 231, but the 242 is flush, and i believe the 231 behind the 5sp will be a long 21 spline.

not 100% sure, if they're both flush, they're both 21 spline.

I'm thinking it was the later AX-15 231's that had the deep spline, but it's the 23 spline.
Anyway behind an 87-90 AW-4, both are 21 spline.
