I have a 1996 chevy 2500 that I am shorting the wheel base and inboarding the springs but how far inboard do you guys usually run. Right now the perches are ruffly 46.5 inches from pin to pin on my 14 bolt. If I put them under the frame it would be 42 inches from pin to pin and if I boxed the frame and rehung the hanger on the inside of the frame it would be around about 35 inchs pin to pin so where what would the best eye to eye length. I am running 42 by 15 tsl's so this would give me a little better stance but I really don't want to get to be too unstable but this will be a full off road rig and want to get optimum performance out of my leafs. The leafs are out of a 1/2 ton pick up 63inch eye to eye. please don't tell me to go 4 link thanks.

Under the frame is the most I would go.

I agree, but if you want more, put in a quick disconnect sway bar, and some stiff shocks.

as a side note, his front springs are 36.5" eye to eye, don't know enough about leafs to comment, but does a mud/trailclimbing/dune truck want the front and rear to be of a biased "roll rate", or keep the angle of the axles to the frame as equal as possible?

o, and one other thing, speedfriendly likes boys.

I have an 86 dodge I put 63 leafs under the frame. I
boxed the back of the frame and put shackels throu the frame. it works good on the and offroad but I do git some axl rape.ez fix with a tracktion bar.
