They're really new and I think I'm going to get them (especially since they come in a longer travel than the regular 5 spd 9000s do), but I just want to know if anyone's had experience with them and if they're typical rancho quality, or just something Rancho threw out to counter the Pro Comp 6 spd shock. Plus, they're only $10 more per shock. TR 08-04-2002, 07:57 AM well, i think its just a 5sp RS9000 with a 9sp knob on it. so yes it was just released to counter procomps 6sp shock. The adjustability was nice (and they firmed up real good), but the valving was crap. Sloppy and rattly. May not be an issue on a trail-only rig, though. Pathmaker 08-12-2002, 03:37 AM Okay, ended up ordering the RS99012s (the 9012 equivalent), and got them in. Turns out it actually has 9 settings, although I thought it might just be a RS9000 with a different knob. We'll see how they handle tomorrow. | |
